Summary
Description "The Pipers" standing stones near Boleigh Farm - geograph.org.uk - 41054.jpg |
English:
"The Pipers" standing stones near Boleigh Farm. These two standing stones are on private land to the south of Boleigh Farm. They are only a few hundred metres to the NE of the Merry Maidens stone circle, and (so the usual legend has it) these were the two pipers who were accompanying the maidens in their dancing on the Sabbath. The one on the right is leaning at quite a jaunty angle.
